Why is it insulting to call a black person, black? Because, that’s all “nigger” means. It’s southern dialect for the spanish word nigra, meaning black.
Some people need to grow a thicker skin. Honestly, in a world of heartache and sorrow that we have going on right now, the one thing that makes it worse are those who are so sensitive that every little thing is offensive.
Quite frankly, I was offended by what was done to Paula Deen, but geeze louise, it’s not going to rule my world for crying out loud! I’ve been called whitie, whetta, and everything else under the sun including late for dinner. But what comes from a person’s mouth toward ME, says much more about him/her than it does me.
Today, someone whom I love dearly said a bunch of ugly things to me, about me. I’ve been sitting here crying all afternoon, but not because of what she said to me about me. I know better. I cried because of the ugly blackness in her heart which poured out of her mouth. She showed me who SHE was, not who I am.
Paula Deen was simply used by TPTB to set an example of how any of us can be ruined in every way imaginable for being honest, and for being white.
Our buddy the hero/traitor who fled to HongKong is showing us the other side of the same coin. What will happen to “patriots” who dare to stand up against the black hearted beast occupant of that white colored house in DC.
Remember years ago there was someone on the school committee, I forget what state, Washington maybe? Anyway, he used the word “niggardly” to describe the finances and was promptly removed because the idiots he was speaking to didn’t understand the meaning of the word and because it started out “niggar” they went off the deep end. Pretty pathetic.
Not exactly. Black refers to race. Nigger refers to black trash, similar to white trash.
There is a difference, and if anyone knows it it's black people. That Chris Rock can get away with explaining in detail the difference between blacks and niggers in his stand-up comedy routines and Paula Deen is not allowed to do the same is a double standard of epic proportions.
Although if she was saying (and I only caught a portion of the TV coverage of this so I may be off here) that professional blacks are blacks and low-wage (non-professional) working blacks are niggers than to hell with her.
