Let’s hope they do the same thing with the immigration bill.
Sadly,American farmers embraced socialism in FDR’s time ,and have clung fiercely to the government teat ever since. A savvy “fasrmer” hardly need fear failure if he enrolls in all the federal programs that insure the crops,subsidize the daily operation,and limit competition. The downside is a mere loss of freedom.
On top of that,enormous amounts of farmland are owned and managed by big corporations.
They use the “ol’ MacDonald’s farm” theme but today’s food is more likely a factory farm product.
However ,we do enjoy a huge variety of food at affordable prices.
I’m SOOOOO happy that in this Judicial Oligarchy that has just crammed Gay Marriage down my throat, where the Great and Powerful President Oz has just tripled my electric bill by decree, where all of the cutting-edge technical prowess developed over all of human history is now focused on snooping into my emails....that greedy farmers out there will now be getting just a slightly smaller slice of graft.
