My prediction is DOMA is tossed, but the states will retain the power to define marriage, so Prop 8 will stay. Of course, this depends on how compromised Roberts is.. after he effectively re-wrote the Obamacare mandate case to fit that pre-determined “it’s a tax” outcome... who knows?

That's exactly what the politicians are salivating over - the possibilities of higher taxes and more revenues. A signal from SCOTUS and bye bye federal marriage exemption. The states will be soon to follow as the Politicians head to the feeding troughs. Oink Oink.

If American Families do not speak soon and loudly they minds well open their wallets and purses and say to the politicians - Help Yourselves.

Actually, that's probably a pretty good prediction. Scotusblog said that it appears that Roberts will be issuing the ruling on Prop 8 and Kennedy on DOMA. Since Kennedy is famous for trying to "cut the baby in half" on issues like this, he may very well have sided with the conservatives on Prop 8 and the liberals on striking down DOMA.
