Buena Vista clerk who made racial slur hears more calls for resignation, says 'we need to heal'

BUENA VISTA TOWNSHIP, MI — More than two months since a taped telephone recording of the Buena Vista Township clerk using a racial slur (arrogant n****r) was made public during a board meeting, calls for her resignation continue.

But Clerk Gloria Platko says it doesn't matter how long the resignation requests continue — she's not going anywhere.

Frankly Scarlett, truth trumps PC and white use of a descriptive word for an attitude not necessarily associated with being black, is a lot less offensive than other language bastardizations, such as “gay” for example.
