You must have me confused with someone else. I never accused you of being a troll. I do think you’re making a false dichotomy between emotion and action. Passion drives action. Computers don’t fight for justice. People with strong beliefs and motivations do.

As for Gowdy, not sure why you’re getting all emotional about getting your answer from folks like me, when you could easily look up his history for yourself. The local papers have his bio, and he sure seems like a man of action to me. I’d give my eye teeth to do even half as much good as he has done, and him still a young man rising, and me in my declining years.

But I do appreciate your challenge. It made me dig deeper and now I have an even stronger belief that he’s every bit the good man he seems to be, and will follow up that goodness with meaningful action as the opportunity arises.

True, it takes some passion to motivate for action but my point was that most people here don’t even bother to go beyond that. And all too often that’s all politicians seem to do is raise peoples emotions with no real action. I’m glad that you took the time to research him and agree with what he has done and his positions and at least have some reason to support him, that far more than most here seem to do. But I’m still curious, just what in his bio do you see that makes him someone you want to support. I’m sure others would like to hear it as well.
