We don't need nor want some big lunk-headed federal government deciding our issues for us or else we're not free at all but under a totalitarian regime.
We are under a totalitarian regime.
When the voters of a state have their will overturned by their state supreme court, there is no freedom.
When the laws are bent and twisted, or ignored as they have been by other state supreme courts, there is no freedom.
And the supreme court of the us has become less than the dirt under the boots of the thugs they work for.

It's up to the people of the state to deal with it. Going to the federal government is like asking a Doberman Pinscher to baby sit for you while you go shopping. If the people of the state don't or won't fix it by throwing the bums out, then we can move to another state, which we're in the process of doing (moving out of CA, like a lot of people).
Convenient? No. Hassle? Yes. Better than getting the Lunk Headed Federal Government involved? ABSOLUTELY.

I understand that you don't like the decision and I am very upset as well, but this is fundamentally untrue:
When the voters of a state have their will overturned by their state supreme court, there is no freedom.
Replace SSM with abortion and then see what you think. We are actually watching a victory for state's rights and the undoing of Roe.
