One of the reasons that a stronger federal government was formed by passage of the Constitution to replace the Articles of Confederation was in response to Shay's Rebellion. People shot at tax collectors!

Many of them were members of their local militia too. Yet, the same people, mostly, who wrote, passed and ratified the Constitution, insisted upon, wrote, passed and ratified the Bill of Rights, one of which reads

"A well regulated Militia being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms shall not be infringed."

There is no gun violence loophole.

Not even if the stats were what the gun grabbers like to insinuate they are.

Ah, but there is.

Reread the editorial. Methinks you overlooked my true point. It is a rhetorical loophole, intended to blur the true issue: homicide rates in all countries.

Why should it matter if the method of execution was a gun?.... unless the antigunners have a different motive, of course.
