This is the damage that the information age will do.
I went to college and got a degree so that I could write software so, in some very small way, I’m part of the information revolution that will make it possible for us to record every single little mistake anyone ever made in their life.
I regret my career choice for this reason. I want out of this business because it’s turning into something monstrous :(
Technology is like guns.....it’s what people do with it...can be used for good, or it can be used for evil.
You can write drivers for special purpose hardware using those skills. You don't have to do data-base mining that has questionable applications.
