Irony...a lot of paulas cooking, especially in the early days, was ver French. Butter-eggs-cream. Watch Laura Calders "French cooking at home"-- my present favorite cooking show. Calder's meals just have tiny portions.

I think this is about obesity, but mostly because liberals are all hate, all the time. Paula is white, Southern, Christian...and fat. Just too much for a liberal to resist hating. Donating to Obama wasn't enough to get over all that. When the Skokie is 66, I hope I'm around to call her fat. Weight us harder to control with every passing year.

Hi, Mamzelle! I really like your post. You hit the nail on the head. Paula, despite all her lib creds, couldn’t win out against the food Nazis and haters.

I was a fan of hers when she had her first show. It was in a small, yellow kitchen (very pretty) and there was a dog wondering around the set. She made delicious food and was quiet and demure. I still think she’s the best cake maker on the food network.

When she became a “star,” she started getting strident and annoying. But the gal can cook!
