something is very off about the background.
did KTLA change the background in editing because it didn’t want houses in the scene. Is that even possible with the way the cops were walking around the scene
here is something else about that motor.
Assume it is the same one..which I don’t think it is..it has been moved.
Compare the Loudlabs on the scene moving picture with that of KTLA.
I wouldn’t say there was anything nefarious about the motor being moved even though you should preserve the scene.
But moving the car...well..that is another story.
But maybe KTLA just changed the background????
You have mail. Watch that one, too.
“Something” changed in the YT vids; there’s numerous background and car changes. I’m not ‘black helicopter’ type, but there’s some serious visual diffs in the many films’ clips. Maybe it’s angles, time of day/night; I don’t know for sure.
That sure looks more than 100ft away from the wreck, as reported by police and other sources.
If you watch the video of the motor from Loudlabs..it’s not perspective that is causing the different look. That shaft is different.
The background during the day is DEFINITELY different.
So either the car was moved or KTLA changed the background or Loudlabs changed the background.
Not sure what is going on.
oops let me change that about the motor
look at the KTLA picture and then compare to 5:16 of this video
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3LSY3wVuASg&feature=player_embedded
so position of the motor changed. That’s okay. But go to 4:59. Does the other side look the same
I noticed that in many of the film clips: something’s changed - car, tranny, background - in all of them. WHO and WHY they did it is the mystery.
In #60 and #68 it is the same motor, laying on it's left side. Compare that to the photo on the right in reply #57, and it looks like that one in #57 has been REVERSED. Who in the sam billy (hell) is providing these photos?
In 68, the tranny pan looks like it's missing. The engine's oil pan might be a goner too...but photo angles obscure.
That, and I'm not all that familiar with modern era Mercedes gasoline engines. Like in #68, at the back of the engine itself there is a round cover [center-left in photo]...which I don't recognize, but reminds me of covers that the old 2-stroke Detroit Diesels would have at the ends of the camshafts, so one could hang accessories like generator/alternator, pumps, or power take-off drives and clutches.
The backside of the engine doesn't appear to be blacked out, like the top (air plenum?) and front of the engine appear to be in #58. I can understand the plenum being black -- have seen enough of those, and can guess the front blackness) could be timing chain (or gear) covers, though the engine block itself not "black" which makes it look different from the backside.
What could be behind the round cover in the photo (and the smaller round cover adjacent to it also) I can't find a guess that fits well enough to satisfy. Not that the small covers are all that important, but just from curiosity standpoint, having myself been "inside" a few dozen engines and have some idea how things work.
Did you look at the LoudLabs video. Near the end it moves around the motor.
They just don’t look like the same engines in the same state.
Is it possible that it had been monkeyed around with by investigators by the time the photo was taken during the daylight?
As hot and as bad as that fire was, it’s doubtful there were any hands left on the corpse; just arm stumps. I’ve seen pics of victims of that kind of burning, and it ain’t pretty and sometimes, hardly discernible as a human’s remains. Just awful.
What is your suspicion about the “Cleaners” sign.
The fire was necessary to destroy all the computers that he had with him. He had more than a dozen in the car. Shooting or poisoning Hastings would have left the evidence on the ocmputers. Two birds - one stone.
I expect some of Hastings’ friends to die strangely soon. He most assuredly hid some of the ‘big story’ with others.
Where is his girlfriend?? She has to know something or be suspecious of his death. Has she been interviewed?
So far, I don't think so...but where did the photos in #57 come from? KTLA? I hate to have to go scouring through threads, then guess, then search. It is a pain. I'll confess to having not watched every video clip possible, though did catch one last night from the same 'paparazzi' source. There was a link also, to a page with info over how a car's computers could be hacked. It left me wondering. If one can hack a door lock...
It's a little difficult to believe the guy would be deliberately driving at speed somewhere near 100mph on the streets he was. He was an as they say "Angeleno" wasn't he? Lived in the L.A. area? Most who have lived there for any time know that roaring through intersection after intersection at high speed is extreme high risk.
One thing the mexican interviewed said was that he saw sparks of some sort coming from beneath the car. There were dips deep enough to have the car bounce several times after going through those and the intersection. I do wonder if engine and transmission pans might have been broken from the front-side when the car bottomed out hard on crests of 'bumps', ripping the pans back, leaving them drag for a while?
Loss of oil would eventually seize the motor, but the mexican said he saw the car hit a bump, followed by loss of control. Hopping the curb at the median strip, the car hits a fire hydrant sheering it off before hitting the tree. The hydrant could have ripped the pans off tranny (and engine too?), perhaps, if those were not already loose. Something metallic was dragging before that, though... Who knows? Busted suspension or exhaust components maybe? Something...
Perhaps there was mechanical/computer malfunction. Or the guy, having "hot" info started thinking himself in the middle of a spy caper so got carried away with James Bond wannabe-ness?
Or somebody did jimmy with his car, making it accelerate up to high speed, and impossible to shut-down?
Makes me wish I still had some of the old pick-up trucks I owned up until just a few years ago. No computers there. Cutting brakes lines still might not be enough. They'd have to use the "blows up when starter switch is turned" trick to get me for certain...
Thank God I don't know anything much they would be willing to kill me over, I think.
