Is this Kabul ‘13 or Tet ‘68? It is remarkable - and sad - how much Afghanistan today is like Vietnam then.
And it will end the same way. The US will declare a face-saving "victory", and pull out. The insurgents will then overrun the demoralized government forces. Then we'll see helicopters taking off from the embassy rooftop again.
It's almost unbearably sad.
