Why fetal pain hurts (the pro-life cause)

In 2011, Frances Kissling, the founding President of the National Abortion Federation, penned a Washington Post editorial supporting the very abortion regulations that many pro-life groups are celebrating today. Kissling defended such regulations saying:

If the choice movement does not change, control of policy on abortion will remain in the hands of those who want it criminalized. If we don’t suggest sensible balanced legislation and regulation of abortion, we will be left with far more draconian policies – and, eventually, no choices at all.

Did you hear that? Unless abortion-advocates advocate for “common-sense” regulations of their murderous industry, abortion will not survive. Kissling’s argument makes sense, when viewed from an international perspective. European countries are known for their broad access to legal abortion. Few have the vibrant pro-life base America does. Indeed, many European countries have tiny or slumberous pro-life contingents seeking to ban abortion entirely.

Wrong.
The “no exceptions no compromise” crowd gave us George Tiller here in Kansas.
Those of us who understood how politics, public policy, and public relations worked pushed for:

Parental Consent

And Nellie Gray and Judy Brown, the no compromise side, sided with Right to Life of Kansas and the Kansas Catholic Conference and KILLED the legislation. There was a picture of the RTLK chair sitting with TILLERS spokesperson!

The "No Compromise" crowd had actually supported Parental Consent in other states, but their pride got to them, as KFL began to eclipse them in power and success. RTLK said, "on one has the right to consent." Since then, the Operation Rescue, American Life League, NO Compromise crowd fought late term abortion restrictions but Kansans for Life got those restrictions passed.

Ironically, George Tiller was taken to Court for violating those restrictions. Unfortunately our Court system is so politicized here that we could not get a fair hearing. Even so, to even bring Tiller to Court at all was a GREAT victory.

This is like any WAR, you must destroy the ability of the enemy to make war against you. In a political war, it makes no sense to allow the multi-$BILLION late term abortion industry to thrive -— because a very large chunk of their blood money will be spent beating us up in every election.

I do not condone the killing of George Tiller, but the fact is, this State, Kansas, has gotten FAR more conservative since that particular rich abortionist is no longer funding our enemies!
