And here I thought the Feds were only supposed to be involved in intrastate situations. My bad for believing in the Constitution, unlike the Feds, who treat it like toilet paper. What does this have to do with intrastate? Just more Fed intrusion in our daily lives.
I'd suggest the guy's lawyer fight turning this over to a Fed prosecution if I had any hope a Fed judge would agree that it is a state issue, but that's highly unlikely. All those at the Fed level are deeply in live with their power over us little people.
