Rand Paul is one of the few voices of reason among elected officials. He’s got my vote for 2016 as a presidential candidate, and if he fails to secure the GOP nomination then I hope he bolts to run as a third-party candidate. I don’t think the time has ever been riper for a third party run, and Rand Paul can do it.
SEIU Welcomes Senator Rand Paul's Support for Commonsense Immigration Reform
Eliseo Medina, Secretary-Treasurer of the Service Employees International Union (SEIU), released the following statement:
"The diversity behind the voices in support of commonsense immigration reform continues to grow, strengthening the call for a solution this year. The GOP should heed Sen. Rand Paul's words today and truly join the consensus that wants Congress to pass a bill that will create a just roadmap to citizenship, boost our economy and keep families together.
It’s practically impossible to bolt for a third-party run after losing a nomination. TR did in 1912; did anyone else?
