For me, Snowden is the messenger, not the issue. I could care less about him or his motivations. The question is whether the government is overstepping its bounds as it relates to our individual liberties. Have they gone too far? And what price are willing to pay as a nation for security?

We need a national debate on this issue. The government has been lying to us. The FISA courts have acted as rubber stamps. The IRS is systematically targeting the political opposition. The DOJ is going after the press.

Snowden called it "turnkey tyranny." Has technology outpaced our ability to control it? Is our only protection to trust government to do the right thing?

I think like you. The only thing that bother me is his alliances with Russia or Venezuela, true enemies of the US.
