Maine Gov. Paul LePage (R) on Thursday went after a Democratic state senator by using a vulgar metaphor involving lubricant.
LePage told reporters that state Sen. Troy Jackson claims to be for the people, but hes the first one to give it to the people without providing Vaseline.
LePage then walked away, later returning to explain his comment.
“That comment is not politically correct,” he said. “But we gotta understand who this man is. This man is a bad person. He doesn’t only have no brains; he has a black heart.”

Bully for LePage!
LePage should have added:
"What's worse - he mandates that the people buy the Vaseline, claiming its a tax a la Obamacare ..."
With hat tip to Red Buttons, “And we never get a dinnah”.
That audio link didn’t work, but this one does: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ely-hqmgBu0
Bravo! The time has long passed to take the gloves off.
I love Maine
The state that is.
Maine has a lot of probs.
The Coast is realllly beautiful (i’m going next week).
Go 20 miles inland and over 50 percent of the people are on welfare.
Nice rug
Washington Post goes to the ends of the earth to report a Republican who admitted to being politically incorrect, but it doesn’t bother to follow what a national media celebrity like Bill Maher said about Trig Palin which was not politically incorrect but an expression of hate speech if there ever was an expression of hate speech.
I love this guy, LePage.
The scumbag liberal Democrat Maine newsrooms will go after him relentlessly, thereby playing right into his hands. This is not a man who apologizes or grovels before the scumbag newsrooms, believe me. People will continue to see a man of clarity and unwavering principles, and they will re-elect him in a landslide.
He’s a great governor trying to fix the wefare state that Maine has become, but, sad to say, he’s going to get voted out in the next election cause that’s the Maine way.
He has the haircut, all that is missing is the little mustache
LePage and his mom would regularly get their butts pounded by his abusive alchoholic father.
if i remember correctly his dad threw him down a flight of stairs then gave him a quarter to keep his mouth shut.
LePage then he ran away and lived on his own from the age of 11 and on, always holding on to that quarter.
Thanks for the extra link, but I don’t understand. I copied the source code. The link worked at the WaPo source and at my post on the forum. It was an absolute link. Do you have any explanation, e.g. operating system, ISP, etc.?
Jackson gave the Democratic response to the governors promised veto of the biennial budget, which was delivered Thursday during a State House rally.
“If I get a little upset with Troy Jackson, who sits up in Aroostook County and does nothing for Maine people, look, this man this year tried to take my pension away, tried to sell the Blaine House, then he realized he didnt own it, thats the kind of guy he is. Lets get beyond that and bring me someone that really wants to talk,” LePage said. “People like Troy Jackson, they ought to go back into the woods and cut trees and let someone with a brain come down here and do some good work.”
Since pols think B.O.H.I.C.A is in vogue, the least they can do is supply the Vaseline.
Maybe if he had called it Petroleum Jelly there would be no problem.
Probably just my impatience. I clicked. It didn't respond. So, I googled for "LePage Jackson" and found (and posted) the Youtube link.
YouTube has its problems, but, in my experience, it generally works better than the various proprietary solutions adopted by major media outlets. And the commercials, if any, are more interesting and more easily bypassed.
