If you like The Godfather, GoodFellas, The Departed, gangster movies in general, The Sopranos was one of the best.
It was a really excellent series.
Mainly due to Gandolfini and his performance. His character was a thoroughly detestable human being. He stole, killed, cheated on his wife, cheated his colleagues, abused women, tortured opponents, etc. Yet Gandolfini played it in such a way that he compelled you to have sympathy for Tony. That’s a remarkable job of acting.
