It’s a translation from Arabic, so it’s possible something got mixed up.
Interesting if the nationality of the writer can be deduced from the phrase. I have seen speculation that the fighters were not Libyan, and could be from Egypt or other neighboring country.

Turkey: Helicopter Carrying Commanders Attacked

A Turkish army helicopter was fired on from the Ikiyaka Mountains in the southeastern province of Hakkari on June 20, Hurriyet reported June 21. The Gendarmerie Corps Commander of Public Security and the Third Division Commander were both in the helicopter. The helicopter was partially damaged, but no casualties were reported.
