Jury of his peers?
A defense attorney told me he likes having women on juries because emotion plays a greater role in deliberations rather than the facts—manipulation is key, as he said, if you can’t try the facts, try the feelings.
This will not bode well for George.
I don’t have a problem with this jury.
I listened to O’Mara giving his voir dire this morning and he was outstanding.
The state afterward tried to get as many of these white middle age women excluded as possible to get to their two black female stealth jurors — but no such luck and when they got there O’Mara had the goods on them and they were struck for cause.
Interestingly the state struck the only black man in the mix and the defense struck the only white man in the mix.
Also the alternates of two men and two women will sit with the six jurors and will participate as jurors without them or any of the others knowing that they are just alternates until deliberation.
Seeing how hard the state worked to get to the two black stealth jurors and get them on the jury, I think the state is in trouble. Their hopes of a hung jury may have gone out the window today.
Is this trial going to be televised? If so, when are opening statements set to begin?
i would hardly contend it’s a jury of his peers. there ought to be at least half men on the jury.
I don’t know the area but my wife and my daughters are all concealed carry women. If they were on the jury George would get a fair trail.
What is the ethnic background of the Hipanic woman? Cuban? Colombian? Mexican? Spanish?
First, he unconditionally trusted the Police and gave them hours and hours of testimony and assistance.
Then, when the MSM and the Democrat Party savagely turned on him, he fired his first two attorneys, who were passionate defenders of self-defense.
Then, he hired a new attorney, Mark O’Mara, a local TV legal analyst and lifelong Democrat who has NO experience defending a completely innocent man.
Then, Zimmerman, with O’Mara’s encouragement, apologized in court, on videotape, to Trayvon Martin's parents.
Then, O’Mara made two egregious errors concerning Zimmerman's PayPal account and passport.
Then, after much of the exculpatory evidence in this case was discovered by Conservative bloggers, O’Mara publicly criticized Conservative blog sites.
And, the final act of Zimmerman's death wish, he agrees to a jury of six women who watch “The View” every day.
I tried to find the betting line on this trial but couldn’t. What’s America coming to?
This is not necessarily bad.
Break-ins in the neighborhood. WOMEN were scared, one woman had guys break in while she was at home.
Zimmerman was active in trying to watch for burglars. Women will appreciate a man trying to look out for them.
The women WILL see the pictures of the present day Trayvon. They will NOT think he is the harmless little boy portrayed in the media.
Even still, Zimmerman has an uphill battle the prejudice in the case is unbelievable.
I live a couple miles from the courthouse. I’ll go up on Monday and take a picture of the fiasco certain to be happening out front.
That jury is not of his peers.
There should have been men also to judge him.
Zimmerman is toast. Women, and I’m one, will relate more to Martin in that they will feel protective and sorry for a teen boy and think of their own rotten kid around Trayvon’s age just walking down the street yadda yadda yadda. Also women are less likely to support the second amendment and self defense with a gun.
And lets be real, white women in particular are the biggest sellouts of their race and their culture.
Actually..this is not as bad a jury I thought it would be
GZ is much better off to have White women than any black juror....liberal white women are better analytically and less afraid to make a judgement than a liberal white male...liberal white males are usually sissy-boys
But, also, an all female jury will make the Black Racist community less likely to threaten and attack if they do not get their lynching....it will look bad politically if Black Racists attacked women.
This is still a Black Ku Klux Klan Lynching....but GZ got some reprieve today
An Older White Liberal Gal that I know who thinks Zimmerman is GUILTY is thrilled with the all Woman Jury.
She was a bit miffed when I referred to Zimmerman as a Political Prisoner, just like the guy who made the infamous Video that sparked the Benghazi murders.
She was really upset by my calling the little darling Trayvon a punk who would have met the same fate if he was sitting on top of me pummeling my face and head into the Concrete.
