These lists are often bogus. When there was a “Bush’s fault - war dead” list running in the Washington Post and elsewhere, it included a young woman who died crossing a highway in Kansas if I recall.

ALLEGEDLY killed by gunfire. He was tired.

That’s like putting the Manendez brothers on a list of kids who lost their parents to violence.

Run over by a hi-jacked SUV with his brother at the wheel, wasn't he?

Racist!
Why does a white killer get on the victim list but no African-Americans?

The list includes many people who were killed while committing crimes, or by police. Somehow the gesture of reading the list of names, as if they were all equally victims of "gun violence" seems pretty hollow when you consider that quite a few of the names are killers themselves.
Just one example - the list includes two people from Westfield Pennsylvania. The first died trying to flee a man she had ended a relationship with who broke into her apartment. Police on the scene shot the man after he fired again and refused orders to drop his weapon.
Original source
I can't see how equating the murderer with the victim makes any sense at all, but apparently Bloomberg and his anti-gun zealots think they are equal in some way.

I wonder how many suicides were on that list.

Wasn’t terrorist #1 a victim of car violence? He was killed by being run over in a stolen car driven by his brother.
