The Catholic media is up in arms over comments President Obama made during a speech while in Northern Ireland for the G8 summit. Obama made what is described as an alarming call for an end to Catholic education, in spite of the fact that it is considered a critical component of the Church.

RE: When is the last time Catholics as a powerful entity protested anything like abortion in mass like the Tea Party?
What? Really? Do you have more left wing media polls that show the demographics of participants in 2A rallies or Tea Party events? Catholics are about the only ones who participate in mass protests against abortion. Finding anyone who is not Catholic at the annual March for Life in DC is like where’s waldo.
You need to quit sucking on the left wing media teet and take your head out of your fourth point of contact.
When will Catholics in mass refute what some priest, cardinals, and pope say when it is outright contradictory to our constitution and or way of life? When I hear of a priest or someone somewhere coming out and condoning all out unfettered immigration as a human right Catholics need to take out an ad and say, shut the hell up. When a church in Philly, SF, or where ever becomes a sanctuary for illegals that are not being persecuted on religious grounds Catholics needs to put a stop to it.
Bottom line, they don’t, they just go along and attend mass as if everything is ok and then whine when someone criticizes them.
I think that by making statements about Catholics vs Protestants and towns being divided, Obama is showing his ignorance yet again on the international stage. He knows little of “the troubles” in northern Ireland and is assuming that it is just religious separatism, but in reality it is more of a battle over Irish sovereignty, isn’t it? I don’t think Obama did his homework. They probably don’t teach this stuff in Community Organizer school...and ironically, Chicago has been split up into a bunch of divided “towns” by gangs and organizers. He has a lot of nerve to talk about education and division when we see the state of affairs in Chicago.
The majority of Catholics voted for Obama. Like it or not.

I am going to have to confirm that with the NSA...
Just joking...
Ok. You’re a left wing poll loving idiot. You’ve already proven that.
It's false, plain and simple. Basing your arguments on falsehoods does nobody any good.
Get it?
I think I love you.
For bringing a smile to this thread which is sorely in need of one.
Never? You ought to be working for CNN or MSNBC. Happens every January. You ought to consider joining us. You're entitled to have an ill-informed opinion but you aren't entitled to your own facts.
Catholics on FR do not count,
That's mighty white of you, goober.
I am Catholic and most of my family voted for the jackass. Most of the Catholics in NY, NJ, MA, DE, CA, and all other blue states voted for the jackass. What facts have you?
I’ve learned bigots have no use for facts.
Catholics on FR do not count
_________
I’m beginning to believe that we don’t.
Seriously.
Neither did I.
Obama and all his administration live by the Alinsky playbook. Divide and conquer. Seems you don’t mind him doing just that. and BTW...
“White Catholics today have a stronger preference for Romney than Obama, 54 to 42 percent” 1 week before 2012 election
White Catholics, by contrast, swung strongly in the Republican direction relative to 2008. Nearly six-in-ten white Catholics (59%) voted for Romney, up from 52% who voted for McCain in 2008.
You're joking ...
but are "They" joking?
Remember a comedian named Yakov Smirnoff? Used to joke about the conditions in "Soviet Russia"? Stuff like: " In America, you can always find a party. In Soviet Russia, Party always find you! " ...
He was popular in the 1980s ... some of his material isn't so funny any more. Amerika increasingly seems like the "Soviet Russia" he lampooned.
Ignore the comments. We are always going to throw a little mud at each other, it is part of the 'entertainment'.
Feel free to note that 99.99% of the Presbyterian-USA, United Methodist, Episcopalian, American Baptist (not Southern), etc, denominations probably voted for the marxist atheist fraud.
Heck, I'm from California (just a bit south of Sodom-Gommorah West), feel free to throw mud at me for our stirling voting record...
I am not buying that since they do not identify as Catholics. That is my point. Most non-Catholic Americans do not believe the run of the mill Catholic speaks out against anything that contradicts what their church leadership says. Yes the church opposes abortion and gay marriage with verbiage, but stops short of open condemnation and action against queer activists/politicians trying to change our society or allow open supporters of abortions to use the church be it by attending or having facade meetings with leaders without any ramifications. Sure one on one in conversation they say how much they go against it, but not as a very powerful group.
How many Catholics in blue states donate and give to democrats that openly support abortion? I venture most of them. If you have data to support otherwise feel free to post it and I will gladly amend my thinking. Since I can only go by vote tallies of supposedly strong Catholic areas I see what I see.
RE: Most of the Catholics in NY, NJ, MA, DE, CA, and all other blue states voted for the jackass
I have no facts either way. All I am saying is that nobody has produced anything to back up statements like yours except exit polling which has already been discredited.
You have nothing that proves or disproves how Catholics voted anywhere. If you did we’d have had President Gore, Presdident Kerry and President Romney based on the same polling.
You are too nice.
Thank you.
