PRESCOTT, Ariz. - A nearly 11-square-mile wildfire in Arizona's Prescott National Forest is continuing to grow as more than 500 firefighters were dispatched to battle the blaze.
According to officials, 5,088 acres have burned, bringing Tuesday's estimate from 7,000 down.
The Doce Fire just west of Prescott sparked evacuations in the neighborhoods of Granite Basin Homes, Sundown Acres, Old Stage Acres, Mint Creek, and American Ranch.

Stay safe, everyone!!
I don’t think there IS a ping list. Looks like its a BG’s periodic posting list.

Just have your stuff ready if you have to run.Take food for the dog too and water.

I’ll just be sure to check in periodically.

One of these days it’s going to get me in trouble!
Think Nana would let me come up there and help you evac if it became necessary?
Think I could get up there in time to help, if it became necessary? I doubt it. You’re at least 5 hours away...

Check THIS one out.....
“Sciacca’s firefighting efforts have been hampered by the fact that the five heavy air tankers, including the DC-10, that have been working the fire have been reassigned to a fire in New Mexico.
“We still have four heavy helicopters, and they are very effective,” he noted. “Those tankers are national resources...if I need an air tanker, I’ll have to make a case (for one to be assigned).”
Asked why they all were moved, Sciacca said, “That decision is beyond my level.”
Did you know that the city of Prescott was named after the author of The History Of The Conquest Of Mexico? Great book.
Well, I still have a house over there, but right now I'm over in E. Texas (but not by choice).
Hey! There ya are!!! East Texas, huh? West would be better...but you probably already know that.
The fire’s probably, Lord willing, NOT going to go much further IN towards Prescott or towards my humble abode...
