I thought they were laying people off!
60 million people on food stamps but we can waste a fortune to build a Taj Mahal to house NPR.
They are. Higher paid talkers and show, ie Talk of the Nation.
Some pigs are more equal than others.
National Panhandler Radio is living in a palace, with its own chefs? On our dollar? Defund that POS org!
800 employees, 500 square feet each? Do they need homing devices to find each other?
Tell me again how much of our money nobama gives to these liberal pukes each year?
Q: "Really? Are they politically diverse?"
A: "Oh, no, not that extreme!!!"
No Conservatives
No Christians
Perhaps 2% heterosexual
Can you say “Agenda”?
NPR has its bases covered.
Well, we have to have sumptuous digs for the Lefty icons, so Gwen Ifell, Bill Moyers, et al can lecture their tiny audience about the mean conservatives who make The Poor suffer in this country.
Making good money pimping Big Bird out, I guess.
Not enough though.
Clearly they aren’t afraid of being defunded anytime soon.
I guess the sequester is really taking a bite out of NPR’s ass.
I’ll lay odds that somewhere in the wellness center is a massage table, and somewhere on the payroll is a massage therapist.
These guys think they can exist as a government entity and command the same perks as a for-profit internet giant?
The pricetag? $201 million.

NPR has moved to a new $201 million headquarters with all digital equipment in Washington, leaving its analog radio gear behind. The public radio network began broadcasting 4/13 from its new home nine blocks north of the Capitol. NPR is consolidating its staff in one building after being spread across several sites for years. Its flagship shows All Things Considered and Morning Edition will migrate to the new facility over the next week.
Gag!
Ugly building. Why couldn’t they just lease one of the millions of similar ugly buildings all across the country?
