A crick is a creek small enough to step across.

I always wondered about that. I learned something. Thanks, CrazyIvan.

I always associated a creek as anything medium to small if it was out in the country in a nice setting. We had a creek in the city that was medium size. A crick was reserved for small creeks in the city or suburbs - usually with old debris falling in as it wound through behind the businesses and old trailer courts. Some of the best trout fishing was in those dumpy old cricks!

Thanks, Kathy. You too.

Folks, here is a picture of the lawnmower blade that got bent in yesterday's lawnmower mishap.

As I mentioned yesterday I was doing some lawn mowing and during that job I accidentally hit a pole which bent the blade you see there.

So, I had to stop and head up to Duncan to get a new lawnmower blade. The guy I spoke with found a new blade for the mower and placed it there for me.

It took a few pulls of the mower string and replacing the engine oil to get it back running again but I was finally able to get back to work and finish the mowing job.

After I finished the job and caught my breath, I went back out and moved the poles. They were right behind the garage and I moved them inside the garage so they wouldn't be in the way again.

I think the last time this happened was several years ago when I hit a tree stump. Since then we got rid of that stump and never had any problems.
