A group of whistleblowers, including a number of aviation experts, have come forward in a new documentary to claim that the official explanation for the crash of TWA Flight 800 was wrong and a gas tank explosion did not bring down the flight off the coast of Long Island 17 years ago.
However, the six whistleblowers, all part of the original investigation team, stopped short of saying the plane was shot down.
Flight 800, a Boeing 747, had just taken off from JFK airport with 230 people aboard on July 17, 1996 enroute to Paris when it exploded and crashed off the coast of nearby East Moriches, Long Island, killing everyone on the plane.
“..This team of investigators who actually handled the wreckage and victims’ bodies, prove that the officially proposed fuel-air explosion did not cause the crash,” reads a statement by the producers of the film, which will debut on cable network EPIX next month. “They also provide radar and forensic evidence proving that one or more ordinance explosions outside the aircraft caused the crash.” However, the statement said they did not speculate about the source or sources of any ordinance explosions.

Anyone remember the CHINESE NUCLEAR MISSILE launched from a Submarine near Hawaii that there was VIDEO of ? It wasn't a missile, yet millions claim it was.
In the case of TWA800 there is actual evidence, which validates the witness sitings. Witnesses alone are not always 'proof'.

I thought at the time the whole explanation was a giant pile of dog poop. I had physics. Passed it too. The plane climbing reconstruction was laughable.

Remember the timing. TWA 800 went down in the weeks before the Atlanta Olympic Games. Clinton did not dare allow any terrorist event scare off potential spectators.
That one had all sorts of 'experts' going out of their nuts on 'gotta' be a missile' comments.
So, reeling back toward Flight 800 as I recall I was the only one on any of the threads to note that a bolid coming in over the horizon would look like a missile streaking up and not a meteor simply going into low orbit where it connected with an airplane.
So, one more time folks, there was a regularly scheduled meteor shower that evening ~ it'd been underway in Europe for quite some time and the zone where they became visible to us finally rotated into the debris raining down. However, there are always some early chunks that are a bit bigger ~ being outside the main path of the ancient comet that left that stuff in the way, they can retain size better. Might even have been several chunks and observers on the surface would see them climbing up, not coming down!
Safe to say the center tank didn't need to explode at all to knock that plane out of the sky.

The funny thing was, the results of the investigation were announced before the investigation started. Once it started, the investigators were not allowed to discuss anything with one another. They were only allowed to pass their findings upstairs. That way, no one had the full picture except the guy at the top, who had already stated what the conclusion would be.
I could go either way....wasn't this shortly after the ATlanta bombing?..I think if terrorists bombed the plane, the last thing the govt wants is to frighten the public, especially if I am right that it was during the Olympics....
I can see the govt especially evil rat ones covering up things....if it was foreign terror, the govt does not want to give the terrorists the satisfaction of the whole world knowing what they did...
its one of those things I will alway wonder about and never know the truth...

Do they mean some 170 witnesses along the southern coast of Long Island who “saw a missile rise into the air” (AND TOOK PHOTOS OF IT) weren’t hallucinating?
It was obviously shot down, but this month is “Throw everything at the wall to distract from Benghazi” month, so we’re hearing this now.
