Ditto that!
FR used to be a place for lots of thoughtful discussion and review. Even when posters were arguing, there was a lot of “meat” and food for thought. Through reading many posts, I have moved away from a “pure Republican” to a more Christian constitutionalist” thinking. I’m grateful for the education many freepers have given me.
Now it seems 2/3 of the posts are these little one-liners, full of cynicism and negativity. Frankly it reminds me of how high school kids talk when they are trying to be “cool”. Not helpful, not educational, not inspiring.
Our country is in dire straights. We need COURAGE and CONVICTION, not negativity and cynicism.

Courage and conviction are wonderful, and necessary. But without TRUTH, courage and conviction are a tall, sturdy ladder leaning against the WRONG WALL.
Getting at the TRUTH is where a dose of skepticism and even cynicism can come in mighty handy.
Following in unquestioning loyal lockstep with ANYONE because of their “conservative credentials” is a dangerous occupation.
Just sayin’.
