Immigration momentum grows in House (Boehner to meet with Dem Congressional Hispanic Caucus)

The Republican-led House will take its deepest dive yet into immigration reform this week, rushing to play catchup with the Senate on the chief domestic policy battle this year.

The House bipartisan group, which has labored for four years without releasing anything, is finally on the verge of producing a bill. The House Judiciary Committee is holding its first immigration markup on Tuesday on an enforcement-centered bill that Democrats abhor.

And the all-Democratic Congressional Hispanic Caucus will huddle with Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) on Wednesday, and immigration will undoubtedly be a hot topic.

“He’s the speaker of the House, the leader of the House and of the Republican Conference,” Rep. Luis Gutierrez (D-Ill.), head of the CHC immigration task force, said in an interview Monday. “He wants to get comprehensive immigration reform; we want to get comprehensive immigration reform passed. We should form a pact. Let’s cement it this Wednesday.”

He’s negotiating their support for his Democrat voting bloc so he can pass the bill over the wishes of the majority of GOP House members and their constituents.

Stand firm, or quit.

Those are your options Boehner.

Bring back America.

Boehner is setting himself up to employ the Joe Straus strategy. Straus is the RINO Speaker of the Texas House who stays in power by carrying water for the ‘Rats and buying off or intimidating a minority of GOP support. Boehner calculates the ‘Rats will help him fend off any attempt to unseat him as Speaker. What he doesn’t calculate is that the GOP will be crushed in 2014 if he caves and Pelosi will be back in charge.

The REPUBLICANS ARE RESPONSIBLE for the 1986 AMNESTY!

Where did that get us? Why aren’t all the 1986 Amnesty Recipients and their grown children voting REPUBLICAN?

May this AMNESTY train CRASH AND BURN!

Bipartisan PC: buy high, sell low.

The horror of these new age Republican who do not understand the higher value of industry above that of cheap labor.

This means only decay. We are replacing savages with savages, and Jeb Bush likes it that way.

Greedy overeducated and immature losers are empowered, because the politician realies on masses and not on technology for points. They all are Marxists with zero engineering professionalism, let alone any Industrial engineering skills in integration of man and machine power.

It’s the skills, not the people, stupid, and they spit on those. This is ultimate horror what they are doing.

Amnesty - the end of the Republic - over and done. The population should be marching with pitchforks to D.C.
Most of us can probably barely get up the courage to express our feelings to anyone at work - school or anyplace there might be an HR department for fear of offending a preferred minority class.

This will be an unconditional surrender.

Hey Bonehead, how about listening to the white caucus for a change. Oh I forgot, in our balkanized government, we don’t have such a caucus as that would be racist. The only thing that would kill this now would be if the black caucus said no to this because it will harm blacks. But to do so would undermine the fact that the black caucus is nothing but dems anyway and they are not going to undermine their party allegience.

All greens on the railroad express to amnesty.

What did the House Anglo Caucus have to say about it?

Oh, sorry, that would be immoral for non Hispanic Caucasians to have their own political agitation group.

Because um, NHCs are fundamentally Evil. Cuz once upon a time, some of them owned other people. Just like the Hispanics did, only it was...um...um....meaner. Yeah that’s it.

John Boehner is a clown clone of Charlie Crist.

What a legacy to leave if he caves:

Boehner Helped Bring America to Her Knees.

I’m sure his spawn will be so proud.
I’m also sure most thinking Americans will hate him forever.

Ever notice that when Boehner’s name is in the headline, it’s bad news for Conservatives?

I talk to a lot of conservative Americans on a daily basis. I’ve got some bad news for the GOP. Those of us who held our noses and voted for McCain and Romney aren’t going to be there this time. Good luck to the GOP. I hope they get a lot of foreign nationals to vote for them because Americans won’t be.

As surely as I live and breath I will no longer vote for anyone who come via the GOP-e (McCain, Romney, Dole). It is no longer of any importance to me to those who will scream: “The alternative is worse!” Yeah, it may be, but I don’t care. The GOP-e has sold us down the river too many times.

I will not continue to be exploited!

It's Pollutico, so take it with a grain of sand. But such a meeting is still worrisome. Boehner didn't even wait a day to 'evolve' on this prior to folding(?) ....

Report: Boehner won’t bring immigration bill to floor unless majority of House GOP support it

John Boehner won't back immigration bill without majority GOP support

Yeah...like every time!

The Rats are playing this perfectly...with willing accomplices in Bonehead and McConnell.

I went to a community meeting last night and visited with a couple of folks I know are libs. They don't even want shamnesty. So, the Pubs will be the ones getting the *blame* for this, by the Dims, just wait and see. Meanwhile, the 12 - 20M+ new hispanic citizens will NEVER vote Repub...win/win for 0 and the Dims. Thanks cowards Bonehead and McConnell.

Your point is exactly what I just told my representative, unless he is into political suicide, he better get a grasp of the fact we either will not vote, vote them out in a primary or vote for dems to get them out. Whichever way, they will be toast. He may be in a 75% gop district but many of those 75% are fed up with the business as usual gang up there.
