Seems to me the South started the ball rolling when they fired on Ft. Sumter. So the flag Southerners have fought for and are currently fighting under makes no difference. Why then are they serving under it? Why did they volunteer to serve? My great regret is that I never served. Have you? My gratitude and respect for those who have and who are currently serving is second to none, no matter what point of the compass they hail from. I'm an American. Not a "Yankee'' or anything else, I'm an American. You're just another self-righteous, boorish Johnny Reb wanna-be stuck in the wrong century, living in still the greatest country on Earth. Darling, I am a woman and born in the border states, having lived in the North most of my adult life. I did not serve, but my husband did. And I have studied much of the history of this nation, north and south. Because I understand the issues of the Civil War does not mean I take sides; both sides had good and bad enough to go around.

You are very quick to judge and label people without truly understanding what they are saying, or even what you are saying. As the founder of this site advises, do not make personal attacks. The least that can happen is that others will call you on your own shortcomings.
