I will NOT purchase any phone that requires this. It's an FCC mandate. The program is the same as the Emergency Broadcast Service, and it the 17 years of a "Presidential alert" capability being available, it's never been used. Not even on 9/11/01.

Or, more to the point, if you ever DO get a Presidential alert on your phone, you don't even need to read it to know that the SHTF.
