The apology from J.C. Penney's (NYSE: JCP) in the "We're Listening" campaign seems to be working, at least for now. Customers have been returning to stores in the wake of J.C. Penney re-opening celebrations. During the tenure of a rough year riddled with mistakes and hard-learned lessons, J.C. Penney found that the soul of their customer was driven by super low sale prices and an enthusiasm for home and back to school shopping.

The die has been cast with this organization. There will not be penance enough possible to reverse the damage. You can’t “unprint” their despicable, in-your-face sodomite ads.
Article does not make the slightest mention of the Two Mommies advertising being a factor.
Who would have though giving the finger to 98% of your shoppers wouldn’t work... It’s a mystery alright.
yep took them totally by ‘surprise’- however their ‘apology’ means nothing as they showed their true colors by supportign hte radical homosexuals i nthe first place-
The Boston Rad Sox are doign the same damn thing now- even holding ‘gay pride’ datys at their staqdium with soem of hte proceeds goign toowards supporting radical homosexual agendas- The difference sadly though is that in Boston- many peopel are fien with supportign gay people- so the Red Sox won’t have to face any real opposition to their homosexual agenda— but IF they had celebrated ‘Heterozexual Pride day’ They woudl have gained a bunch of fans- but sicne they are pandering ot the filthy radical gay groups, they will probably only lose a small percentage of their fans because nooen in Boston really gives a crap about morality any logner-
probably what hsoudl happen is that a cocnerted effort be made by folks to get together a petitition or form of soem kind statign soemthign alogn hte lien of “You shoved your radical agenda in our faces, and when it hurt your bottom line only hten did you apologize? Sorry, not goign to cut it- Still goign to boycott your store- You showed your true colors, suffered for it and now want to apologize? You made your bed, now lie in it”
I will say that I drove past the local Penny’s yesterday and the parking lot was packed. It is at and-alone location with its own parking lot, so, it looks like a lot of folks are coming back.
Went by there a few months ago and the lot was virtually empty.
You typed that on your phone, didn’t you. ;-)
You’d be stunned to learn that in sleepy, Catholic Pittsburgh there was a VERY large Gay Pride festival over the weekend that has morphed from a three hour parade into an entire weekend of events.
Also a gay-friendly social Lib just won the Dem nomination for Mayor (meaning he’s gonna be the next Mayor). In the past local Dem candidates had to at least pay lip service to being pro-life and anti-gay to satisfy economically Lib but culturally Conservative Catholic Dem voters.
No more. We’ve crossed that Rubicon it seems.
I would be even more reluctant to take a little boy shopping in a store which advertised for queers than I would take my teen-aged daughter shopping in a neighborhood known for drugs and prostitution.
It ain't rocket science.
As I have said, if you took out the two major ciites, PA would be as red as they come.
They never do. Remember, Obama's watching.
“You typed that on your phone, didnt you. ;-)”
My guess was dyslexia.
JC Penny is only having a bump from “going out of business” bargain hunters.
The appology was utter BS. NOTHING has changed in their corporate police.
The stock experts see it as another circuit city.
Spell check is your friend, he’s pretty lonely these days...
Truth in Advertising.
Other than WalMart, we have one department store in our entire county - JCP. It was not uncommon for business women to attend a meeting wearing the same clothes. Then JCP stopped stocking women’s sizes to be more hip. What kind of strategy was that?
