As the leaders of western nations remain mired in a toxic tank of groupthink that says Syrias Bashar al-Assad must go and that if you disagree, youre a heartless and ridiculous twit who doesnt know anything, Russian President Vladimir Putin explained that its the rebels who are making Assads supporters heartless by eating them in front of video cameras. What do these geniuses of elitist western thought come back with? Well, nothing, really.
The seven words underlined below represent a Bingo moment for Putin.

It has to send a chill down the spine of every American when they realize they agree more with Putin than they do Obama.
Doesn’t send a chill down my spine. The main difference between Putin and Obama is that one is a communist.....and the other’s a Russian.
For some that thought warms the heart.
Putin as absolutely correct: it has no relation to human values and everything to do with jihad. Period.
It should send a chill down your spine that our government supports people that would eat their enemies’ organs.....now do you get it?
Russia has also taken sides with a butcher in Assad. But that has been the status quo.
If Israel is threatened (which they are because of Iran's nuclear program) we need to act. If the free flow of oil from the Gulf States is threatened (which Iran represents a threat to) we should act.
Otherwise, we should let the Sunnis and Shiites in Syria kill one another and further weaken one another.
Remember the old days when we had leaders who understood that?
Obama is trying to create a pan-islamist Caliphate run by extremists and he did so in Egypt, Libya, and now Syria
How people don’t see this is beyond me
Of course... my point was the chill long ago passed when Putin excoriated the POS in the WH for turning socialist. The fact this government supports cannibalistic, feral jihadis no longer surprises me.
It was all I could do to restrain myself yesterday when I saw some loony woman in the burka get-up not to go over and say “hey, you are in America—you don’t have to wear your costume here.”
“a butcher”
you are so typical
ooooooooooooooo a dictator, must be bad
at least he is a secular and legal head of government, just like Nicholas was.
You saw how the “revolution” in Russia backfired, you have seen how the “revolution” in Rhodesia backfired, you saw how us upsetting the apple cart in Iraq backfired, so grow up
OK, I am relieved to hear that.
If it were possible I would want to build a 100 foot tall concrete wall around Syria and just tell them to let us know when it’s over.
When your enemy is at war with your other enemy, this is good. The Russian Front in WWII comes to mind.
One time on a very hot day here in Williamsburg, VA at Busch Gardens, we saw a muzzie woman in head-to-foot tent with slits for eyeholes, trailing behind her t-shirt - and - jeans-clad husband... as we passed by, my wife said to her.. "aw, you poor thing."
This may seem a strange position for the US to take since the Syrian rebels are full of Al Qaeda types, but right now the banksters see them as a useful tool to to buffer the dollar as the only legitimate medium of exchange in the global energy markets.
Since it is politically impossible for either the US or Russia to state their real positions in public, we get wild stories from about poison gas and poor, suffering Syrian civilians and the need for our gallant boys to ride to the rescue to make the world safe for, er, somebody on Wall Street - and not-quite-so-wild but ultimately irrelevant stories from the Russians about Islamic terror and cannibalism.
When our leaders ask us to fight wars, they should at least be honest about why. It has been while since they have deemed it necessary to do so.
But, I am not "for" the revolution in Syria, or any of the so-called, absolutely contrived "Democracy Movements," the press and our current traitorous U.S. administration has tried to pass off. They are not. They are an effort to empower Islamic extremists who ultimately are dedicated to our own destruction.
The "revolution" in Syria is another of those. Just like the lies and faux revolutions in Egypt and Libya.
The point of my prior post was that Putin is supporting the Status Quo and unless that changes, we should let it alone.
If that's typical to you...so be it. Deal with it.
Assad is not our friend in the least...but he would not be nearly as bad as an extremist Islamic state ruled by Al Quida sympathizers.
Ultinmately, when we are forced to act against Iran, if he gets in the way, he would need to be bowled over in as the smoke clears. But, if that comes about, I think he will sit back and watch Iran go down. We should have helped the people of Iran in 2009 during their real attempt to take the mullahs there down.
At least Assad does not kill and eat Christians who try and remain peaceful in all of this. I will say that for him.
In my opinion, any state, any mosque, and people who are bent on supporting and establishing Sharia Law as the basis for their society are the enemy and need to be eradicated. Let those chips fall where they may.
For years I have attended a Bible Study populated mostly by Evangelical Christians from Egypt and Syria. At our meeting in Saturday, I asked some of them what they thought of the current situation in the ME.
They told me that our government should have learned its lesson with Egypt and the so-called “Arab Spring”, which resulted in the Muslim Brotherhood coming to power. The rebels in Syria are basically cut from the same cloth, and that the U.S. is clearly supporting the wrong side.
Yes, I knew all this and so do most FReepers, but the point is if the Christians from these countries are all too aware of the situation, why isn’t our government? Who are they listening to?
We need an administration here in the US who will use the energy at our disposal to move us immediately towards complete energy independence and turn all of that energy/dollar economic structure over to the US so we can strengthen it ourselves without having to rely on the likes of the Saudis.
The we can say to the Middle East, "Eat yourselves alive, get drunk on your oil, just leave Israel alone," and then walk away from the whole mess, unless and until something occurs over there that threatens our true vital interests.
Iran's nuclear program does.
and a Russian patriot, unlike Obama, who hates and despises America and Americans.
