It was likewise an honor for me to serve as a Platoon Corpsman in Kilo and Lima 3/5. Many brave men - some who are not with us - some who remain. God Bless them all!

"Riamh nár dhruid ó sbairn lann!"

Genuflectimus non ad principem sed ad Principem Pacis!

Listen, O isles, unto me; and hearken, ye people, from far; The LORD hath called me from the womb; from the bowels of my mother hath he made mention of my name. (Isaiah 49:1 KJV)

My unit was 10 Marines and a Corpsman. When our Doc got hit I became the temp. Corpsman until we got another. This happened twice in two months.

I did my first IV and delivered a baby when I was 18. I preformed my only (Thank God) tracheotomy when was 19. Morphine and bandages were a weekly thing.

When we got a new Doc I was so happy to be just a Marine Radioman again.

Corpsmen do a heluva job and I never wanted to be one.
