Republicans are "in a demographic death spiral" and will fail in their effort to win the presidency if the party blocks an immigration overhaul, a leading GOP senator said Sunday.
Sen. Lindsey Graham, the South Carolina Republican who helped write a bipartisan immigration bill under debate in the Senate, said conservatives who are trying to block the measure will doom the party and all but guarantee a Democrat will remain in the White House after 2016's election.
A Democrat also involved in developing the proposal, Sen. Robert Menendez of New Jersey, went a step further and predicted "there'll never be a road to the White House for the Republican Party" if immigration overhaul fails to pass.

nadler finally caved and recanted his claims ~ as I had said, he’s not a reliable witness for anything. It’s possible we had a love triangle I stepped into or something ~ but more likely someone wanted nadler to be truthful and me out of that thread.
Scharff was considered the finest interrogator in human history.
What I discovered about the situation is a bit disturbing. There were two different moderators and there were specific topics they didn't wish to have referenced ~ let's just say early 1950's. There were other elements that result in a delay of approval for up to 8 hours ~ which meant that whatever they wanted to censor they couldn't quite figure out what I'd said.
One of them simply didn't want more than one post per thread ~ which is bizarre ~ maybe he thought that was a sign of an argument. Frankly, there were a couple of guys harrassing me who were later found engaging in a flame war with each other. I am sure you know them well.
BTW, three words you can't use ~ nadler hiss and chambers ~ we'll see if this gets through this time.
That won't add more Democrats but it will sure anger a bunch of them when the Hispanics demand some party offices as well as seats in the legislature ~
Good points.
They may well lose without an immigration bill; they are dumb enough to and have proved it twice. I think if they do pass amnesty they will lose by a much larger number, not only in 2016 but likely forever.
As to why I think most Hispanics will continue to vote overwhelmingly Democratits for the same reason that Blacks will continue to vote overwhelmingly Democrat. History and Experience. And that, my low-information friend, surely trumps your magical thinking that Republicans voting for Rubios version of immigration reform (Amnesty).
And by the way, my tolerance for nitwits is limited and youve used your allotment. Ill waste no more of my time interacting with you and your uninformed silliness.
Suit yourself.
Your (quite smug) belief that all who differ with you must--must!--be mere "nitwits," who suffer from "magical thinking," says a great deal more about you than it does about anyone else...
You should be very careful of such BS when the author tells you early on it is an attach on markets. You can be sure in such cases it is an attempt to undermine private decision making and replace it with government or other collective decision making.
