Whenever I hear someone say or ask for donations to violence against women causes, I ask them if that means they are in favor of violence against men or are naive that it doesn’t exist. Same principle applies here. Men are victims yet few want to acknowledge that concept.

I worked in a hospital ER for 20+ years.Ours was a large,big city hospital (world famous,in fact) that had an outstanding,and *very* busy ER.Among the many things we were known for was the quality of our “rape crisis team” made up of highly trained and experienced ER nurses (99% of whom were female).We would routinely receive women stating they were raped,mostly via the city ambulance service.After one of these nurses fully “examined” the patient (a long process that involved many questions,photos and other evidence gathering activities) they’d come out to inform the physician who was to examine/treat the patient as well as to write *their* notes,notes that might be used in court (these nurses often testified at trial as “expert witnesses”).They’d talk to other staff members about the patient and they’d usually say “poor woman” and other similar things.However,once in a while you’d hear one say “she’s lying” or “she’s absolutely crazy” (or something to that effect).So,if my experience is indicative of the wider picture it would appear that the majority of rape claims are legitimate but by no means all of them.

Those who accuse falsely must pay the penalty that the falsely accused would pay, including going to prison, and/or the death penalty.
