Suspended and arrested after refusing to change his NRA shirt. Today, 14-year-old Jared Marcum appeared before a judge and was officially charged with obstructing an officer.
A $500 fine and up to a year in jail, that's the penalty that Jared could face, now that a judge has allowed the prosecution to move forward with it's obstructing an officer charge against him.

Ah! Another example of hysterical women (scared of the sight of guns whether real or printed on a shirt) and timid men who are petrified with fear over someone actually exhibiting their rights to free speech and expression.
This is a classic violation of our First Amendment and no one in Washington thinks anything is wrong.
Political Correctness is destroying our guaranteed rights and the people who are voted into office to assure protection of our Constitution rights simply are too busy enriching themselves with power and money to do even notice it.
Let’s not forget the judge [as you mentioned earlier] who is allowing this stupidity to move forward.
yep
Anyone that thinks the unionized police are on our side are as crazy as the people on the left are, the police in NAZI Germany helped Hitler into power.
We are rapidly becoming a fascist dictatorship.
Review your history. Each time the Socialists have taken over a Country, once they are sure that they are in control, the first thing they do is go after [silence as far as critism goes] the media. The media that helped them into power. This is what the obama regime is doing now.
The officer was depriving him of his Rights.
Title 18, Section 242, Deprivation of Rights under color of law.
I have no clue where WRTF might be (and apparently they don't either, because I had to bore down to the bottom of the linked page to find out).
Sorry, I can't fix lazy.
The teacher who caused this was a man. The kid had gone all through 5th period without a teacher saying anything until the male teacher did.
My two cents on this entire event: The root of the problem is liberal/progressive educators (that includes school administrators). This should have been a non-issue. It was not against the district's dress code, but they went after the kid because it was an NRA t-shirt. The police should have never been called to deal with a t-shirt issue. It is a complete over reaction by the school, law enforcement, and the juvenile prosecuting attorney.
I have seen these type of things happen over and over again in my daughter's former government schools, but never with a NRA t-shirt, so it doesn't make the news. There is an increasing number of minors with police records for doing nothing worse than what has always occurred in schools. There are other ways of handling these problems, and in some cases the problems wouldn't even be recognized as problems 40 years ago.
Is there a way to post pictures from an iPhone? I have a great pic of Obama chasing his kids around a pool with a .....water gun!!!!!
The horror!!!
I always enjoy the opportunity to learn something, and “topics” is an area totally ignored till now.
As to the t-shirt as the prime topic, well, that was missing in action, but the above will cut you some slack, and...
number three in my all time favorite thread dislikes is the abandoning of a thread because so many others have been posted one doesn’t have time to manage all of them. You done good on that count. Not that you were doing it just for me, but thanks.
Oh noes, it has a PICTURE of a firearm. That could kill someone.

Does anyone know why a T-Shirt supporting a Constitutional right is against the law. If it is not, then any rule by a school district or administrator is suspect.
What part of my post containing the statement “and timid men” did you not understand?
[I don't have the software *photoshop* on this 'puter to add the NRA logo on his t-shirt for ya]

Been grading threads since 1998. How else does one learn what makes a good one? It’s not exactly like the spelling police, but...

I knew you could handle it, or maybe I’m suffering from grey hair syndrome.
