I couldn’t agree more. Too bad he got all tangled up when speaking. I pray he gets another chance.

I don't. Not that I don't think he might make a decent one....

but do you have ANY idea how hard it is to train one of those suckers?

----

LOL! Joking aside, the government of Texas has done us proud!

You know what kills me? I see commercials for some kind of laser spine surgery and, to this day, I wonder why Perry couldn’t have gone that route.

If he could have kept up the momentum he had when he entered the race, it would have been all over. I remember a friend of mine saying it looked like Perry was going to be our nominee....he was rolling.

Just damn.

Does he still think that people who don’t support Texas’ law permitting in-state tuition for illegals have no heart?

Well, in the grand scheme of things I can look back and say he is solidly pro-gun, pro-God and religious freedom, pro-life, pro-DOMA and pro-business. We’re never going to get 100% but Perry is pretty close to it. If you can come up with a better candidate, great.

I’ll take that as a no.

PS. I see that nobody focused on the part I put in italics. This law is not what people have assumed it is, on the surface. It is also a bipartisan bill.
It removes legal risks of saying “Merry Christmas” in schools while also protecting traditional holiday symbols, such as a menorah or nativity scene, so long as more than one religion and a secular symbol are also reflected.
And as others have already pointed out, we already have a First Amendment on the federal level. This law is a bit too European Union-like.
