“Sen. Marco Rubio, the leading Republican on the Senate’s Gang of Eight, says part of the reason is that the federal government can’t afford to secure the border on its own and needs financial help from the immigrants themselves, in the form of fines paid when they are legalized. “

Rubio removing all doubt as to the degree of idiot he is.

Billions for foreign adventures though.

The beltway gang has nothing but contempt for the people that pay their salaries. The septic tank needs to be drained.

All the border protection in the world won't stop illegal workers. Not being able to work will stop illegal workers. Requiring e-verify and penalizing those that employ illegals will stop illegal labor. I live in an area with abundant border protection, but the Border Patrol aren't allowed to pick up illegals working the farms around here.

The locals used to request "translation assistance" from BP, which was code for, we picked up a gangbanger who doesn't speak English and we want him deported please. DHS put out a policy prohibiting BP offering that assistance.

The result of this bill will be 20 million more poor welfare voters, depressed wages, and a bigger Border Patrol that isn't allowed to enforce the law.
