Well gang (and I do mean gang) I think we’re done here, don’t you?

We’ll just have to agree to disagree.

I will hold my position that the Pope is a non-trivial, extremely powerful person who Catholics see as holding the Chair of Saint Peter as the Vicar of Jesus Christ, and who holds absolute final authority over the teachings of the Catholic Church;

and that Nancy Pelosi, as the Minority Leader of the House of Representatives and a former Speaker of the House of Representatives, major author and mover of Obamacare and Obama’s policies is a major Democrat, liberal and feminist influence on the protection of laws which enable the murder of millions of babies through later-term abortion;

and that (in addition to everything else she’s done), when Pelosi actually claimed that protecting late-term abortion was something she saw as her sacred Catholic duty...

- and the Pope remained silent about this -

that that papal silence has protected enabled mass murder in a very literal, concrete and irrefutable way, and violated the apparent teachings of the Catholic Church as it allows the open HERESY of Nancy Pelosi to escape ANY papal condemnation whatsoever;

and that - given the Pope’s status in Catholicism - Catholics are now forced to choose between following the Pope’s silence, or obeying the apparent teachings of the Catholic Church in denouncing Pelosi, BUT - that this is Catholicism we’re talking about here, SO - what the Pope says or does not say, or does or does not do, IS the teaching of the Church;

namely, to have others speak denunciations, but not use any authority to enforce the teachings of the Church on pain of loss of access to the sacraments (let alone excommunication for heresy for supporting and empowering the murder of babies).

You, on the other hand, will reject all of that and call me a heretic and a Catholic hater, throw the Bible at me and tell me to get lost.

So I’m a heretic for acknowledging the power and authority of the Pope and a hater for acknowledging the enormous influence and power of the House Minority leader and former Speaker - while you are good Catholics for somehow protecting the Pope by asserting his incompetence through claiming he’s too busy to be bothered by this trivial situation and does not understand the significance of American events throughout the world.

Except, of course, that before you go you’ll want to tag-team more slander at me, along with contempt, disgust, revulsion and holding your breath until you turn red (because of my immaturity), and then follow it up by a loving suggestion I read the Bible and go to Church (because you don’t hate me, you’re praying for my soul).

And I understand - I really do. After all, it sure beats having to defend your hypocrisy, don’t it?

Mkay, I think I’m done here. Thanks for playing - you’ve done Catholicism a greater service than you could possibly understand.

“and the Pope remained silent about this”

The Pope has not stood silent about a damn thing. He’s the head of over a billion Catholics worldwide, with the vast majority not being from the United States. When the Pope was the Archbishop of Buenos Aires he publically spoke out against the so-called “catholic” pro-abortion, pro-homo “marriage” female president of the country. He told her it was wrong and not Biblical. The socialist went right ahead and approved all sorts of pro-abortion laws and made homo “marriage” legal in the country. For some reason you seem to think that American Catholics come first and the Pope should spend all his waking moments chastising cafeteria American catholics like the dunce Pelosi. She knows the Catholic Church position and she could care less. I think she should be excommunicated, along with the creepy
governor of NY, but I don’t make the call. Their bishops do. If you have problems with Pelosi her bishop is the one to take care of the problem. Write him and be sure to let us all know what he says.
