Here we go again. Criticizing the leaker instead of the leak. Makes no sense to me.

As Grenell sees it, "the federal government just keeps throwing money at problems, and there are very few bureaucracies that have an ongoing evaluation program of how the program works." After being flagged, according to law enforcement, the Tsarnaev brothers planned their Boston Marathon bombings undisturbed; Snowden's supervisors failed to notice that his attitude had taken a dangerous turn. Quoth Grenell, "We have to go back to the drawing board and reprioritize. People are missing the point. The real problem (as usual) is the size of government. Any government spying agency that has to hire contractors that hire a doofus like Snowden is far too big. The dissemination of the TS details that far down is a sure sign that the entire assembly is broken. How can we possibly expect to protect our foreign agents when someone like Snowden (or obviously) Manning can so easily out them?
The real problem is the size of government from spy agencies to food testers to car washers. 10 times too big? 100 times too big? Probably the latter.

Snowden is not old enough to serve in the U.S. Senate Al Franken is. AND he got elected. Sorry, Debs - you lose that point.

Tells me all I need to know about John Boehner. Boehner is probably sighing with relief that this takes the spotlight off his thug tax collection enforcers over at the IRS...

As Sen. Barbara Mikulski, D-Md., noted at a Senate intelligence hearing Wednesday, just because you're a champion swimmer doesn't mean you should be a Navy SEAL. Babs Mikulski is an old Fascist thug who isn't fit to hold the office of US Senator. Sorry, Debs - you lose that point, too.

You were here in 1998, and you’re seemly unaware of all the scummy things the Clinton government did to wriggle out of its trap? Why don’t you go over what happened to Linda Tripp for the newer FReepers? Hmmmmmmmm?

Any government spying agency that has to hire contractors that hire a doofus like Snowden is far too big. Ahhhh! You know Edward Snowden personally, then?

No similarity at all between the cases, which is why I didn’t bring it up.

It does seem rather strange that he complained about surveillance and then fled to Red China.

I don’t think Clinton groping the intern is the same as spying on Americans. I could be wrong.
