My brother, who regularly shot 30-06, bought a 7mm mag. He went from the store, shot it 5 times, and drove back to the store to see what price they would buy it back from him.

It just wasn’t his idea of fun. And he will likely never hunt where he would really need that.

My home is on the Olympic Peninsula of Washington state. We live on six acres of heavily wooded mountain side. Our back yard is the Olympic National Forest. So of course lots of wildlife that tends to wander onto the property. Elk, cougar, black bear, coyotes, etc.
