On Wednesday, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV) blocked a vote on the border security amendment to the “Gang of Eight” immigration bill offered by Senate Judiciary Committee ranking member Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-IA).
Grassley was pushing for an up-or-down vote by the Senate on his amendment, which would have required the border to be secured for six full months before any legalization of illegal immigrants in America began. Reid objected to Grassley’s motion, effectively implementing a 60-vote threshold that completely blocked any attempt at a fair vote on the amendment.
Grassley protested Reid’s plan, which the Senate Majority Leader laughed off. “I’m somewhat surprised at this request,” Reid said in response. “How many times have we heard the Republican Leader say on this floor and publicly that the new reality in the United States Senate is 60?"

I just watched Sean with Ann Coulter and he is wanting to buy into it but Ann set him straight. She told Sean that if this passes that it is over... that the republicans might have a few good years but then the republican party will never win another national election. Then they played a clip of schmucky schumer promising to fastrack citizenship for these new dim voters. Sean is a spineless jelly fish... I like the guy and he is a good person but he has no backbone. He trusts marco... but marco is a snake... the snake charms Sean.

He lied about everything in the bill and he said that what he actually said, “I will not vote for any bill that does not guarantee border security first” really meant “starting the process”. There is not even a requirement to build any fence... only a plan to build a fence is required... the same scam that was in the 2006 Border Security Act Bill that passed and was funded... and that funding was spent by ICE on other things... rather than securing the border. The head of ICE testified in Congress under oath that, “We were not required to spend that money on border security”. I hate these vermin!

Amnesty is a winning issue for a Democratic Senate and possibly the presidency, but a pro-amnesty vote will not allow the Pubbies to keep control of the house. For a House Republican to vote pro-amnesty is pretty much suicide unless you happen to be wonderboy Ryan. A good many house Democrats would pay a high price as well.
