There are days I wish I was lawyer. It’d be almost too easy.

Not in this case - it's a private parochial school, so you'd have a hard time getting the case in front of a jury. There's no tenure issue at stake and she's not a public employee, so I can't see a valid cause of action.

I believe you are right. The only commitment they have to her is her contract and seems they are paying her to the end of it. Even in public schools, contracts are signed year to year.

It is a sad situation, but she had best spend her time figuring out another job, and I doubt it will be teaching.
