To say that there is disgust growing in the ranks is an understatement.
If adults who broke the law to come here illegally get citizenship, it will be a spit in the face of millions of legal immigrants who followed the rules, and many millions more who wait patiently on the other side of the oceans and borders. It will sent a message of lawlessness which will encourage more lawlessness.
Marco Rubio and others are imploding the party to achieve Chuck Schumers dream
Mickey Kaus in The Daily Caller, Wake Up!:
If the conservative public were paying attention, the flaws and crude deceptions of the Schumer-Rubio bill would be common knowledge. They are so obvious, especially in the border enforcement area, that even Sen. Rubio pretends to be dissatisfied with his own bill. Byron York reports that many conservatives are shocked when they learn that Rubios bill doesnt secure the border before legalization. It doesnt! First comes the legalization, as Rubio boasted yesterday. Thats been obvious for months, but now its news. (The border security requirements, themselves evanescent, would only prevent legalized illegals from moving to upgrade from legal status to getting green cards and citizenship.)
Its time to wake up! Conservativeswhile you are (rightly) excited about NSA snooping and partisan IRS corruption, the Congress is about to change America in a more profound, permanent way right under your noses.

What are you talking about?
I guess that silly John Cornyn thinks that independent-minded new citizens will look favorably on his repeated candidacies. The new registrants will defeat him in 2020, but not 2014, but by then he won’t mind because he would be retiring anyway.
“This is the ball game folks”
Boy you said it. Will the GOP stand up and fight for us? Just this once? Please?
Agree.
Many will ask ... many will never understand ... It is my MO.
I noted the UK (okay, England). The rest of the countries you noted? I rest my case.
Never said it was a good thing. Just that we’re not alone in pursuing this course.
You’re pretty good.
Obfuscation.
My hat’s off.
Learned too well from liars.
This Texan will do EVERYTHING possible to support Cornball's 2014 opponent, should there be one (praying there is another Cruz here).
I honestly believe these guys are in on the fix and have been promised by TPTB that their campaigns &/or retirement will be fully financed, as well as nasty ads against any competition, if they'll just get Amnesty passed.
They've all (who vote to pass amnesty) put special interest $$ over country.
The Gang of Eight and their allies should be treated as the traitors that they are and face summary justice.
And you’ve natural talent.
Once stood at the alter, and looked at the two sides of my life ... made a pact to try and be on the straight and narrow ... still I fail.
honest FRiend ... no talent to be found on this end of the keyboard ..
B-b-b-but Karl Rove, a man who spent $400 million in endorsing something like ten candidates in 2012- seven of whom lost- a man who (unlike all the other pundits) was spot on in calling Ohio for Romney on election night, a man who did a wonderful job in advising Bush to an all-time lowest approval rating, says that if we don’t embrace amnesty we’re going to keep losing in the future...
It IS Our Nation! Can We, Will We Let It Go?
I claim the same thing.
But I know better.
How am I doing?
you too FRiend are in our Father’s image!
It’s just change, the one constant in the universe.
The trick is to ride with it, take advantage of it.
NOT resisting the inevitable is the difficult part.
