During an interview with FOX Business, former Rep. Ron Paul explained that he was concerned about the well-being of National Security Agency whistle-blower Edward Snowden.
“I’m worried about somebody in our government might kill him with a cruise missile or a drone missile,” Paul explained. “I mean we live in a bad time where American citizens don’t even have rights and that they can be killed, but the gentlemen is trying to tell the truth about what’s going on.”
Paul added that there were no signs of Snowden defecting to a foreign country, which meant that he was not really a threat.....

I have defended only the 4th Amendment not Snowden. I very clearly stated he is a criminal. Regardless, bringing Alex Jones into the discussion is preposterous.
When you resort to insults, you’ve destroyed any hope of serious discussion. Carry on with someone else.

You're assuming this nation operates according to the Constitution....and that anything is guaranteed today..it is not.
However..the first Responsibility of our Government is the Security of this Nation...and it is not...without a Secure Nation all bets are off the table..and is what we are seeing playing out everyday....even without outside threats.
Islam is the number one enemy we have..and the World on a whole...anyone watching the World Stage is seeing it's power and agenda not only moving but gaining....and for the most part it's a “silent creeping” across our nation.
If any think that our country is not already invaded they are not informed...and when the enemy is on your land and functioning behind the scenes...using all the communication networks within ...then it really isn't hard to understand why gov. is doing what it's doing.
How they USE what they gain is another story. But especially since 9/11....this Country knew it would never be the same as before that..and it won't be.

As for Snowdens revealing his stuff...it has already affected the terrorists who are changing their mode of communication...in other words...what NSA and other Intelligence agencies had a handle on...are broken. So yes he affected Nat’l Security.....for they've spanned out all the further...

Snowden is in Hong Kong because one doesn’t go up against the intelligence agencies of a world superpower and then stay within their jurisdiction.
He broke the law by revealing classified information to the media instead of seeking whistleblower status. That makes him a criminal under U.S. law. However, one can understand why he might not trust the government to protect him as a whistleblower. He chose to present his case to We The People. I for one am listening and hear him out.
Did you not see the video of NSA operatives saying that Snowden should be disappeared? One doesn’t punch a bully in the nose and then stay in arm’s reach. Surely you can understand that, right?

If there are no constitutional guarantees, then there is also no guarantee that the government will act lawfully.
If it’s understandable for the government to violate the 4th Amendment in order to protect the nation, then it is equally understandable for Snowden to violate the law in order to protect the Constitution.
Your logic seems to be that “all bets are off - so all bets are off.” Good luck with a government that operates under that philosophy.
The only sentences of mine you need have quoted were:

The rest of what you quoted and bolded speaks to the reasons he gave for commiting a crime. I said I would hear him out. That’s not defending him.

Snowden exposed a rogue employer and guv who routinely violate the 4th Amendment. He escaped a guv who'd rather shut-down (i.e. "eliminate") a whistleblower who's exposed their secret, illegal, intrusive practice of trashing the 4th Amendment that now been made public.
The only talking heads I see calling for the head of Snowden are heavy-handed 0buma minions and Vichy Repulicans who play for the same pro-Big Guv, Globalist-Statist team.
And no one says, "Those who would give up essential liberty to purchase a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety" any better than Benjamin Franklin.
