That’s why we cannot skip those college electoral positions on our ballots.

Here in Michigan we hand State and Michigan boards of trustees and regents to ultra liberals simply because conservatives don’t get that far on their ballots.

Yet once the students get out into the real world, the realities of living begin to set in.

The professional scum students have outed the entrepreneurs coming to teach there. Marx embraced death beyond death, Lenin the Dean boy embraced himself beyond himself... head up their corrupted arses.

Why do we need any more proof than to see who is teaching?

It didn’t get that way without planning.

Liberals are filling the ranks of teachers both in college and High School.

The only recourse: Stop giving to your college and maturely inform every caller asking for your annual contribution your reasons for withholding donation.

I taught at several universities over my career and engaged in many “debates” (i.e., arguments) with liberals over a variety of subjects. My Ph.D. is in economics and I had one debate with a Sociology prof about Caesar Chavez, the lettuce pickers boycott (early 1970’s) , and George McGovern. After a few minutes I had her boxed into a corner where she had to admit that a boycott hurts workers and owners. She looked at me and yelled: “That may be, but I don’t believe it!” and stormed out of my office. Liberals are usually ill-equipped to form a cogent argument to support their positions.

“...many professors insert their political biases into their grading and teaching...”

Many?

MANY?

Virtually ALL! (Possible exceptions - engineering and some of the hard sciences)

Far left liberals dominate academia, gov’t employment, main stream media and entertainment.

Propaganda, abuse and control seems to be the rule of reality and is owned by the left.

Gross provides evidence indicating that feminism greatly increased the drift of college faculty to the left, in every field except engineering.

Oddly enough, female engineers are accepted for their work, not their genitals. I started my engineering career in 1984 and I witnessed the transition from old-school to new school attitudes. Engineering has become essentially gender-blind.

And no, the engineer stereotype really doesn't apply to the appearance of female engineers.

I always tend to lean toward the candidates that have some real world experience rather than retired professors.

When I was at ole miss in late 70s I was the left leaning Paine-ist

And 90% of the faculty were Goldwater or Nixonian

2 of my close kin just graduated there. It ain’t like that no more. They started out as right wing Christians. One is a lefty somewhat Christian now. One is a raving lunatic anti Christian anti white anti conservative anti everything their parents are.

Hubby and I are seriously debating the cost benefit analysis to send our kids to any state school. Spend a lot of money and end up with daddy’s little commie atheist. No thanks.

Conservative undergrads need to stick to engineering and science. The other softer fields are for wussie man-boys and dykes. The really hot chicks major in communications so take those classes as electives, just for the chicks.

Here’s how professors are chosen at schools. They apply, then the other teachers in the department examine their teaching credentials, beliefs, etc to be sure THEY FIT IN with the department. If you disagree with their beliefs, even if you’re another Einstein, you’re out. No independent hiring authority to insure diversity of thought.

As an adjunct instructor, I well know about the leftist tilt of most of the colleges and universities that I have worked at. To be honest, I have sensed this tilt since the early 70s, when I was a traditionally-aged student myself in the so-called Golden State. So, to me, breathlessly revealing that colleges are Leftist playpens is about stunning as telling a fish that it is perpetually wet. The way out of this is for parents to be more active in their children's education. Instead of treating schools and colleges as rent-a-parents, actual parents ought to act as actual parents in terms of carefully overseeing their children's education until they are reasonably assured that their children can look after themselves. Parents have no right whatsoever to be outraged at becoming estranged from their children after a lifetime of leaving their moral care to so-called "expert" others.

Are conservatives still trying to prove there's a leftist bias in academia? Come on . . . that's like trying to prove the sky is blue!

I don't understand why conservatives are so surprised about this situation. Modern academia is based on the Hegelian dialectic. The Left is the "thesis of history," pushing history forward to its "conclusion." The Right is the obstructionist "antithesis." Only the "thesis" has rights, and rights exist for no other purpose other than to enable the thesis to perform its "historic mission."

All this belief in objective standards of justice and a "mission" of history from people who claim to believe the universe is a coincidence!
