Got that straight off PressTV, huh? Or was it AlJazeera?
Check your six pal. Check your six!
Probably not.
BUT, if TroutGuy ever decides to run for office you can better bet the dim operatives will suddenly 'find' that information and make commercials about it that run 24/7.
Remember Harry Reid bragging he'd seen Mitt Romney's tax returns? Remember the Joe The Plumber treatment he got from a public employee that was never even punished for revealing private information?
It wouldn't surprise me in the least if Romney's sudden shift from tough candidate to weak candidate was a result of being offered a choice... and he opted to spare himself and his family a lot of grief.
So the guy who uses the IRS for a political vendetta wouldn’t use the total information state over which he presides for a political vendetta?
And remember Palin’s sudden departure from national politics?
The Stasi only wishes it could have had the political ‘motivation’ available to these guys.
Remember Harry Reid bragging he’d seen Mitt Romney’s tax returns?
I keep waiting for someone at the hearings to ask that question.
“The President has put in place an organization with the kind of database that no one has ever seen before in life,” Representative Maxine Waters told Roland Martin on Monday.
“That’s going to be very, very powerful,” Waters said.”That database will have information about everything on every individual on ways that it’s never been done before and whoever runs for President on the Democratic ticket has to deal with that. They’re going to go down with that database and the concerns of those people because they can’t get
around it. And he’s [President Obama] been very smart. It’s very
powerful what he’s leaving in place.”
All of this systematic abuse of political foes leaves lots of debris in its wake. Its great that people are coming forward to expose the corruption from this “administration” because it exposes the inherent flaws in recent legislation. However, if there are little to no consequences from on high for this corruption it means that the masses of people affected are tasked with righting this wrong. These are dark days for my beloved country and I hold small hope that our system can still self correct.
One would hope
The type of alliances he has with the powerful in this country are tenuous. Once the facade starts to crack, the whole thing's going to come crashing down in one huge, spectacular crash.
Many in congress are being blackmailed. Explains why there’s no opposition party to speak of. Also explains Roberts’ SC decisions.
From the Guardian profile:
“Secondly, the election of Barack Obama in 2008 gave him hope that there would be real reforms”
He may be brave but he is/was still quite naive.
A leader who would use the power of the IRS to harass his political opponents like Obama has done has shown he will use whatever he can get his hands on to harass and persecute his political enemies, real and perceived. And now we know they have their hands on everything. That in a society with so many laws it's been reliably estimated that the average American commits three felonies a day. This isn't going to end well.
It's been reported that NSA staffers got their jollies listening to phone sex between our troops serving overseas and their spouses/girlfriends/boyfriends back home.
You OK with that???
At this point, I'm inclined to consider him a huge hero.
I also expect the if-you-didn't-do-anything-wrong-you-have-nothing-to-worry-about brigade to be out in full force here the next few days. Fools.
So Kirk worries about spying on congresscritters...
How about us poor schlubs in amerika, genius???
Puts a whole new meaning to “Snowden’s secret”!
Me too--at least given what I know at this point. This guy took two oaths: the one made to the agency, and the Pledge of Allegiance. I think the latter supersedes the former, indeed it obligates doing this sort of thing.
