Remember Sarah Palin's big speech after McCain announced her as his VP candidate?

Her teleprompter malfunctioned, and she gave a world-class speech flawlessly on the fly.

The speech was so successful that McCain rocketed ahead of Obama in the polls until the financial panic of Sept. 18, 2008, when someone (possibly Soros) tried to crash the economy by withdrawing $550 billion from money market funds within 1 or 2 hours?

Sidenote: This pivotal historical event has gone without serious investigation and is barely mentioned in the most relevant Wikipedia article (Global financial crisis in September 2008) as follows: "By the morning of September 18, money market sell orders from institutional investors totalled $0.5 trillion, out of a total market capitalization of $4 trillion, but a $105 billion liquidity injection from the Federal Reserve averted an immediate collapse."

Yes, I do remember that. I truly believe that Sarah Palin is a genuinely good, intelligent and thoughtful human being. She far outshines 99% of those who are considered members of the political class.
