I've never found him to be a good speaker with a teleprompter. Truly. Even if I supported him, I'd think that. He speaks a bunch of banal, vague rhetoric, how is he a good speechmaker? The only things he's ever said that are memorable are memorable for the wrong reasons, like that line about making the oceans recede or some such nonsense. Or, "we are the people we've been waiting for". His few memorable lines are memorable for being so risible.

Obama speaks in an annoying clipped monotone that drives me up the wall. His whole delivery is much like a fourth-grader reading a book report or describing a class trip. “We went to the zoo. I saw all the animals in the zoo. I saw a giraffe. then we went home. The End’’.
