My biggest skepticism regarding these kinds of claims is the assumption that because something is morphologically remotely apelike or primate like that it must be of a common lineage. These kinds of assumptions have in many instances been proven unfounded especially in modern taxonomy where genetic analysis sometimes fails to align with taxonomical classification. Definitely interesting but in the realm of claimed ancestors of man grand claims have been frequent based upon the most circumstantial evidence. This whole field is filled more with the creative imagining of scientists than with real measurable strict analysis based on pure science.

Yeah, just like for years the almighty science told us we were evolved from Neanderthals. Then we find out through new science that isn’t true.

Seems science evolves too, which is fine, that’s what it is supposed to do. But what gets me is that is a ‘fact’ until it’s not and if you question it, you are an idiot.
