Trenton, NJ --(Ammoland.com)- In a dramatic upset in the timing of the centerpiece of the Democrats gun bill package, the New Jersey Assembly Law & Public Safety Committee today failed to muster enough votes to pass S2723/A4182 out of committee.
In a stunning turn of events, it became apparent during a roll call vote that there were not a sufficient number of Democratic votes for the bill. Rather than complete the roll call as required by legislative rules, chaos and confusion ensued as the committee chairman and staffers halted the proceedings mid-roll- call and huddled in an adjacent room while they figured out what to do. Republican members of the committee protested the unprecedented procedure and argued with the chairman.

One of the top three or four anti-gun paradises in the United States sticks in the mud.
Keep writing and calling; in what would certainly be a first for a state legislature, maybe they’re actually listening.
Democrats make up new rules as they go along.
What? It wasn’t strict enough? Didn’t actually confiscate or something?

To #6. Which one? I’m blinded now.
Looks like:
I can’t believe I ate the whole thing.
Wicked Witch of the West, and
The Thing from the Black Lagoon
Pick your choice.
What ever it is, I think the easel has more brains than all of them together.
The purpose of rules is to aid the Democrats. If rules don't do that, they must either be changed or ignored.
I hope I live long enough to see conservatives treat liberals that way.
Looks like the cast of one of those PBS fruit shows.
"But Cryan and Sweeney, never close, are fighting over who should be the next state Democratic chairman. Cryan backs Assemblyman Jason ODonnell (D-Hudson), who Democratic gubernatorial nominee Barbara Buono supports. But Sweeney has criticized the choice, and just two weeks ago called ODonnell Cryans Beard, referring to the close relationship between the two."
It might be a sign that describes New Jersey unemployment.
More detail in this image, which I don't want to hotlink because it is too large.

“Conservatives and gun owners are an abused minority in New Jersey. The one thing these people are not worried about is a backlash by gun owners.”
Days ago someone posted a story about gun applications here in NJ (notable for the high number of them). NJ may be a socially liberal state, but it is increasingly fiscally conservative and has always been racially conservative. Because it is a small state, many otherwise-liberal people know they’ll need weapons to defend themselves (especially since so many cops have been laid off, and those that are left aren’t allowed to apprehend people of color).
New Jersey is the second-lowest state in per capita (legal) firearm ownership, only behind Hawaii. Complex building codes and zoning regulations result in more economic segregation than might be seen in a 2A friendly red state. In New Jersey a CCW permit is impossible for almost anyone except for retired LEOs, so visits to sketchy neighborhoods are best avoided.
The result is that the majority of New Jersey's middle-class suburbanites don't need to come in contact with many potential criminals and don't feel particularly unsafe -- with or without a firearm. The number of New Jersey NICS checks recently hit an all-time high, but it's still a fraction of neighboring Pennsylvania's. (12.7% of New Jersey households admit to firearm ownership versus 34.7% for Pennsylvania, 25.5% for Delaware and 18% for very 2A unfriendly New York.)
And when it passes, Christie, the new Democrap rock star, is expected to sign it ..... right?
Curse you! What is seen cannot be unseen. What a collection of beauty-challenged people.
“Democrats make up new rules as they go along.”
That is exactly what they did in New Jersey to get that fecalith Lautenberg into the Senate for the second time.
“The result is that the majority of New Jersey’s middle-class suburbanites don’t need to come in contact with many potential criminals and don’t feel particularly unsafe — with or without a firearm.”
Previously only the neighborhoods along the frontiers of the welfare reservations had to deal with war parties sallying forth on raids; now vehicles (often stolen) and de-policing under threat of lawsuit by the NJ state police have given the permanent dependents the means to penetrate areas that had never dealt with them before.
I’d think northwestern NJ has at least as many guns as similar areas in PA (that’s probably where most of our guns are).
